Marvin Shotts

Marvin Shotts is Senior Vice President of Business Development at EPD, a role in which he draws on his more than 30 years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical systems to address the complex power demands of EPD customers. Known for his collaborative and solution-focused approach, Marvin combines his extensive industry knowledge with a talent for understanding customers’ unique needs, allowing EPD to develop innovative power solutions tailored to their specific requirements.

A forward-thinking leader with a pioneering mindset, Marvin excels at identifying opportunities to introduce EPD's energy systems into both new and existing markets. His proven ability to build high-performance teams has led to numerous successes, including achieving substantial growth goals and exceeding sales targets. Marvin uses data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions, improve processes, and ensure EPD solutions are in compliance with all legal and regulatory mandates.

Marvin holds an MBA in International Marketing from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Additionally, he has completed multiple advanced courses in strategy and marketing at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.

Marvin is the proud father of four adult children, three sons and one daughter, and is an active member of the community. He is committed to helping students gain access to education, leadership skills, and better opportunities and serves on the Board of Directors for the University of Alabama Capstone Engineering Society, and for Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee. In his free time, Marvin likes to be outdoors, appreciating nature, and partaking in activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, and kayaking. He enjoys traveling internationally, and has visited over 30 countries, and counting.
